Kessler Broadcast — 2026
Signal Loss
A broadcast identity that treats interference as the design language — not the enemy.
- Brand Identity
- Art Direction
- Motion
The brief
Kessler Broadcast had spent thirty years making static disappear. When they moved to streaming, the old promise — perfect signal, always — stopped meaning anything. Everyone’s signal is perfect now. So we did the opposite: we made interference the point.
What we made
A living identity built from the artifacts engineers spend careers removing — RGB split, dropped scanlines, block displacement. Not decoration: a rule system. Every asset is the clean mark plus a controlled amount of loss, and the amount means something.
Systemized interference
- 0% loss — legal, contracts, the wordmark at rest.
- 12% loss — editorial and social, where the brand has a pulse.
- 40%+ loss — motion stings and title cards, used once and never held.
The result reads as one thing across a thousand surfaces, because the noise is generated from a single seed rather than drawn by hand.
Outcome
A brand that looks like the medium it lives in, and a motion kit the in-house team can drive themselves — interference on a leash.
